Introduction

The headquarters of Dadeldhura district is Khalanga village. According to the records obtained, a veterinary hospital office was established in Wagbazar in the year 2027 to provide services in the field of animal health. This office was transformed into a veterinary hospital in the year 2037 while the then government of Shri 5 was diversifying animal development according to the interests of farmers and time. In the year 2038, the said office was named as the Animal Development and Animal Health Branch and the program was conducted. In the year 2044, it was named as District Animal Services Branch. This office was merged under the District Agricultural Development Office in the year 2049, according to the directive of the Government of Shri 5 at that time under one umbrella. After being merged into one office, due to the delay in the administrative process and difficulty in providing services to the clients, keeping an eye on the effectiveness of the service according to the demands of the farmers, this office was again kept separate from the 1st of Sharaban 2052 and named as "District Animal Service Office" and stood as a separate office. In accordance with its objectives, animal development programs Animal Services Expert Center has been conducting various animal development and animal health programs in coordination with various associations in the district until the resources and means are sufficient. The service has been operating under the name of the center.

The objectives of the Animal Services Office are as follows to support the overall development of the district by developing the animal husbandry business as a diversified, commercialized, affordable and respected profession. By increasing the production and productivity of animal products, the food and nutrition security of the district will be enhanced and the nutritional problems will be reduced. To gradually improve the traditional animal husbandry and develop it as the main cash-earning means of the farming family. To reduce the conservation and death rate of livestock by expanding animal health services. Minimize the damage caused by climate change and natural disasters by expanding environmentally friendly technology in animal husbandry business. To protect and use the genetic resources of endangered species of animals and birds to help in the use and protection of biological diversity. To promote private sector investment to create employment opportunities through the development of animal and animal products industry.
